We LOVE geography.  We're learning world geography and United State geography all the time.  U. S. Geography is covered state by state as they tell me they want to learn about them.  We also cover a bit as we travel around visiting relatives and going on vacation.  They've played license plate games and we watch lots of movies.  We've participated in an on-line 50 state post card swap sending and receiving  5 postcards each month until we had all 50 states.  We've learned a lot about each area that way.  World geography is taught almost constantly.  They're always asking where various animals are found and see world maps at all our local zoos.  They hear about or see places on TV (like when we watched the Olympics) and they ask where that is located.  We've learned the names and location of many places from the Magic Tree House books and the settings of those.  We have two large maps on the walls; one of the United States and one of the world.  We refer to these often.  We have several United States and World State puzzles that the boys enjoy putting together too.
