Virtual Refrigerator-- Playing With Brusho Pigment Crystals

Hi and welcome back to the Virtual Refrigerator!  We're so happy to have you stopping by today and hope you'll link up with us.  We have a fun little project to share with you today. My middle son, Alec and I played around with some new Brusho Pigment Crystals.

These Brusho Pigment Crystals are both fun and frustrating.  The crystals are like a powder and active with water.  You can certainly use them like watercolors but we wanted to try shaking them out and then spraying them with water.

I did try brushing them on in strips.. and loved it.. until I added more color and wrecked it.

Alec tried coloring a stamped design in using a watercolor brush.

I tried stamping an image and slightly controlling what I shook out.

I turned some of our favorite papers into cards.

Now without further ado I invite you to grab a "magnet" and link up your arts and crafts posts below and visit some other bloggers to see what they shared on their refrigerators.

Your art project doesn't need to be a stand alone post, nor does it need to be a tutorial.  We love day in the life posts or homeschooling wrap- ups that show art work too!

So what do you have to share with us?

  1. Wow! These came out gorgeous! I've see these a lot on Instagram but never tried them. What prompted you to get them? I linked up my most recent round up post, where I talk about the, very, little crafting I've been doing. I'm really hoping to get get a bit more craftier this month than I was last month! Happy Tuesday!

    1. I thought they looked like fun when I saw them in a video and saw a few really gorgeous cards on another blogger's page that I follow so I decided to give them a try. They were frustrating since I am a control freak but I do love my final results.
