Holiday Toll House Pie

My husband and boys are huge fans of Toll House pie.  We made the decision to only make enough apple pies to last through Thanksgiving just so we'd have a chance to make some other family favorites for Christmas.

I just knew when I found a bag of the holiday Toll House morsels that I had to make Toll House pie!

Ingredients:
Pie crust (you can use a premade crust or try our incredibly easy/ flaky recipe found here)
2 eggs, room temperature
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter, softened
1 bag holiday chocolate morsels

1.  Roll out your pie and line the bottom of the pie plate with the crust; make sure to make a little lip of crust all around the outside.

In a stand mixer or large bowl combine eggs, flour, sugars, and butter until well combined.

Gently fold in the bag of morsels.

Spread into your prepared pie crust. The mixture is quite thick and chuck full of morsels.

Bake in a 325 degree oven for 55 or 60 minutes until the top is lightly golden brown and the center is set.  You can check if the middle is cooked all the way when a toothpick or knife inserted in the center comes out with just melted chocolate and no batter attached.

We like to serve our pie warm (not hot!) with vanilla ice cream and maybe even some whipped cream and hot fudge.  YUM!

(you don't see the red and green chips since this was a photo of a regular Toll house pie)
