Old Mistick Village

I have been wanting to get to Old Mistick Village for quite some time.  It's a cute little area of shops and restaurants and I just love that you can meander from store to store without worrying about cars, traffic or parking.

I wasn't sure if the boys would enjoy it or not but I offered to buy them lunch and they seemed pretty excited.  They even helped me buy a few Christmas gifts for some of our family members.

We started our day checking out the sight map and seeing which stores we really wanted to visit.

We went to the kite shop and were just in awe of the amazing kites they had.  Evan was quite taken with the dragon.

Next we walked through the tea shop, the garden center and the toy store.

There are beautiful gardens, hand painted signs, and lovely trees in all their fall bloom around every corner.

We stopped for some wood fired pizza for lunch and had lots of leftovers that we ran back to the car before hitting some more stores and looking around for dessert.

I made a mental note to stop back by the Christmas store for Christmas ornaments; there are so so many to choose from!

The older two boys picked some fresh fudge from the general store while Evan chose to get some fresh chocolates from Munson's.  I ought a small container of flavored popcorn from Pop on the Block.

It was such a fun fall outing!
