52 Lists Week # 32; My Favorite Scents

My eyes lit up when I saw this week's list challenge; Your Favorite Scents.  I knew it would be a challenge since I'm not one for many scents but I do have many smells I just love.

Am I the only one who things of scents and smells as being different?  I know so many scented products try to emulate real life smells but while I can not stand any of the cotton or ocean scented products I do love the smell of clean cotton or the ocean in  real life.  If I'm buying something scented I tend to stuck to spice and food smells... Like

  • Vanilla
  • Cinnamon/ cinnamon bun
  • Sugar Cookie
  • Coconut
  • Peach
  • Cocoa or Shea butter
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Mulberry
  • Apple cider or apple spice
  • Gingerbread
  • Strawberry
  • Pineapple
  • Coffee
  • Pina Colada

But there are other smells that I wish could be bottled and made into actual scents.  Most of them just for the memories they'd invoke.

Things like:
  • My husband's cologne (it doesn't smell the same in the bottle as it does on him!)
  • Fresh, real roses (but not things "rose" scented)
  • Fresh cut grass
  • The smell of the ocean
  • Clothes fresh from the dryer
  • Freshly baked bread

  1. I had to make a separate list too! I do not like the smell of cotton scented items either. It's just so fake!

  2. great lists! I also love the smell of real roses, but I do NOT like anything rose-scented. LOL

    1. Yeah, I find rose scented things to be overpowering.

  3. You wrote out a good list considering you started off saying you aren't one for too many scents :) I agree with you on the roses, too!

    1. Haha! That's true. I figured out that I liked more scents than I thought.
