Music

I feel bad that I don't formally teach music to my children.

I want to have a different genre of music that we focus on every month or so and even just have it playing in the background as we go about our day.  I want to read books about musicians and masters.  I want to immerse us in music.

That's my plan, but it never seems to happen.

My oldest son took guitar lessons (both acoustic and electric) for several years.  My oldest two sons took piano lesson for a year or so also.  They seemed to loose interest in it and I didn't like spending the money if they weren't going to practice.  I had hoped to find a series to use at home that they could play and learn as they wanted but not knowing how to play an instrument myself I'm fairly limited.

We listen to music in the car and we sing along with various country, pop, Christmas, and oldies tunes but I want to do more.
