52 Lists week #19: The Things You Want to be Known For

This week's list: the things you want to be known for was pretty easy for me to write.

It may sound a bit morbid but I thought about what I'd like people to say about me at my funeral or when looking back on my life and thinking over what I was like.

When it comes right down to it I'm a pretty simple person with simple goals and ideals.

I want to be known as having been:

  • a wonderful and loving wife
  • a giving and loving mother
  • a fantastic teacher and leader
  • a giving and caring friend
  • a compassionate person
  • an intelligent person
  • a hard worker

  3. beautiful list, I once heard a story of leaving a legacy when we die. This was not financial but what we wanted to leave for all to remember

  5. Such attributes to achieve. If everyone strived to be these things what a wonderfu world it would be. Love this.

  6. Yes, yes and yes to all of these. I often think about what I would want my kids to remember about me if I died...it does sound morbid, but it's really not! It helps me to be a better person.

    1. I think so too. Knowing how I want to be remembered helps me decide how I want to act today.

  7. I sometimes think it is morbid too, but it is what helps me to think about how I show myself to others and what I want them to truly see.
